Also, apparently, the book that people with no sense of irony love to love. To publish a book of quotations and thoughts of a leader – especially one on the left, no matter how moderate in comparison - in a small, monochromatically covered tome is of course setting yourself up for comparisons to Chairman Mao’s Little Red Book (see also Eddie Izzard’s Little Red Cookbook of the Church of England, AKA ‘cake or death’). It would be like someone on the right naming their memoirs ‘My Struggle’. It, shall we say, lacks vision. Or marketing savvy. Or a basic high school history education.
Or fear and respect of related item algorithms at Amazon.com, for that matter. In shades of the Wal-Mart Planet of the Apes / MLK / Dorothy Dandridge related items controversy, lo and behold look what Amazon says it’s frequently bought with (imaged below in case they fix the glitch):
